What do you do when your son is about to walk you down the aisle? Pause for a gorgeous photo, of course!!! These two paused for a half step just before walking to the arbor where her husband to be waited- exactly the time I needed to catch this shot. As I was editing I realized that her flowers and his tie have the same tones… I love details like that, especially since they’re so tough to spot in the moment (it’s a big day, after all).
I'm an artist living in rural western NC. I photograph weddings, write poems, paint, create art and parent my eleven-year-old son. I love the smell of the earth after a rainstorm, the heat of old buildings on a summer night, and the crunch of new snow underfoot... life is filled with passions, everywhere!
Our lives are a series of breaths punctuated and defined by emotional strength. I am an artist, photographer, painter, poet, and parent. I seek to create images that are important to you and me. As your wedding photographer, I narrate the story of your day with images in an attempt to bring back the scent of the flowers, the feel of the sunshine, the rush of your breath after that first dance... connect with me and let's talk about how you want to remember your moments...
